MARKETING MANAGER

Reporting into the CEO, I lead on all marketing activity for HRR. My focus is on introducing innovative initiatives and driving digital transformation, all while preserving the unique heritage of the brand. Alongside a team, I oversee all consumer-facing activity as well as the internal operations of the marketing department. I manage all functions, from content creation and strategic planning, to data analysis and budget forecasting - working with Sales, Memberships, Retail, Operations, Broadcast, Finance and Partnerships to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand presence across all business touchpoints.

ANGEL INVESTOR

Joining Pally as an Angel Investor in January 2022, I delved into the brand and product development, contributing to shaping and refining the company's identity and offerings. I was instrumental in creating a pitch deck and engaging in fundraising activities that generated £100K of investment. My role also encompassed conducting thorough market research and analysis, offering valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making, and positioning the brand effectively in the competitive landscape.

FREELANCE CONSULTANT

Henley Royal Regatta

On an adhoc basis, I offered varied support to Henley Royal Regatta, encompassing marketing, admin and operations. I worked front of house during the event to enhance guest experiences. I also contributed to the development of a crisis communications plan and participated in a digital audit, aiding to shape a long-term digital strategy. Assisting in the creation of engaging content and implementing new digital processes, I worked towards enhancing operational efficiency. I co-conducted psychological and risk assessments, supported the development of personalised care & treatment plans, and played a pivotal role in coordinating therapeutic group sessions. VOLUNTEER MENTOR

I assisted offenders with reintegration into society - both in the lead up to and following release - providing practical and emotional support during weekly mentor meetings and writing detailed behavioural and compliance reports for parole hearings. Through self-directed learning, I offered educational support and developed links with local services to expand support networks. I completed regular training sessions, ensuring up-to-date knowledge, and aided mentees in goal setting and expectation management. Additionally, I actively contributed to psychological risk reviews alongside Probation and Case Managers for court hearings.

VOLUNTEER MENTOR

I volunteered at the Crisis House, offering support and guidance to ‘walk-in’ patients, which allowed me to witness firsthand the symptoms and challenges of living with complex needs. This experience taught me to be empathetic and responsive to individuals dealing with mental health issues outside an official psychological context. The role was instrumental in enhancing my interpersonal skills, and I gained invaluable experience in effectively communicating with individuals in severe distress, often experiencing visual and/or auditory hallucinations.

While at the University of Reading, I aided professors in a range of research studies, exploring cognitive function, language disorders, vision, and ageing health, and contributed to a published PhD study on neural inhibition. This role honed my autonomous working skills, enabling effective management and prioritisation of multiple projects.
